Project overview
This project was about redesigning the existing teachers’ club of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. The existing building appeared to be of pure rectangular shape.
Details
My contributions have been instrumental in shaping the overall vision and design of the project. I oversaw every aspect of architecture, construction administration, through furnishing and styling. The main idea was to keep the originality of the existing building and derive a form based on the pure forms such as rectangles, squares, circles etc.
The site itself had adequate amount of greenery including some plantation around the main building. I decided to include water bodies to bring about a serene feel while taking a break during work- which is the main goal of designing a “Club”.
